LingoLearn Phonetics is a free Windows desktop app for English pronunciation. Look up a word to hear it, read the phonetic transcription and a Bangla meaning, or open English Practice and read short paragraphs while the app listens on your PC.

Play any word or phrase with Windows text-to-speech. Choose voice, rate, and volume in Settings.
See phonetic transcription from the CMU Pronouncing Dictionary so you know how a word is said.
English-to-Bangla lookup from the bundled E2B dictionary, kept up to date from GitHub.
Read a lesson out loud. The app marks matched words green and missed words red, then lets you continue.
Optional: copy text anywhere and the app can look it up or speak it. Turn this off in Settings.
Close hides to the tray. Press Ctrl+Shift+L to bring the main window back, even from the tray.
Recent lookups stay on your PC so you can jump back to a word you already practiced.
Practice uses Whisper on your computer. No Google speech API. First use may download a local model.
Open it with the book button on the main window. Speech recognition runs locally.
A quiet room and a microphone close to your mouth work best. If the local model cannot load, the app falls back to Windows speech recognition.

Use the Inno Setup file LingoLearn-Phonetics-Setup-1.0.0.exe from GitHub Releases. Installs per user, Start Menu and Desktop shortcuts, no admin required unless you pick all-users.
The MSIX package is built for Partner Center. Store copies update through the Store. Dictionaries and lessons still refresh from GitHub.
IPA, Bangla dictionary, and practice lessons check a few seconds after launch, then every few hours. Unchanged files are skipped.
Store builds update in the Store. GitHub NSIS builds can download a new installer. Inno and portable copies need a new Setup exe; materials still update.
No account. Lookups, history, and speech stay on your PC. We do not sell data.
Clipboard monitoring is optional. The microphone is used only while you tap Speak. Whisper runs on-device. The app may contact GitHub for dictionaries and updates, and Hugging Face once to download the speech model. Full details: Privacy Policy.
